Despite having to fight through the snow, wind and the cold, FC Edmonton and York United combined for an entertaining 1-1 draw at Clarke Stadium on Friday night, as Osaze De Rosario’s late goal for York would be cancelled out by an even later goal from Edmonton’s Masta Kacher.
But that was only a fitting end for the kind of day that it was, as both teams combined for what ended up being a surprisingly physical match, both doing their best to embrace the unique conditions in which this game was played in.
As a result, both teams will head home happy, knowing that they put up a good account of themselves, all things considered.
