Forge FC’s Concacaf League dreams came to an end Wednesday in Honduras as Hamilton fell to their Honduran opponents Motagua in the semi-final stage with 0-0, 2-2 on aggregate second leg scoreline.
Bobby Smyrniotis group came up short on their away trip to Estadio Tiburcio Carías Andino as they needed a goal to overturn the deficit from the first leg at Tim Hortons Field. Not all is lost for Forge, though, as they qualified for the 2022 Concacaf Champions League by advancing to the penultimate stage.
Next up for Forge is, naturally, another massive game in the 2021 CPL Final against Pacific FC on Sunday (4:30pm ET/1:30pm PT live on OneSoccer).
