Atlético Ottawa returned to the win column on Sunday, beating York United 3-0 for the largest margin of victory in an away game in club history.
Ballou Tabla put the visitors on the board early with an 11th-minute penalty kick, and they followed with a quick counter-attacking goal from Brian Wright just 10 minutes before halftime. Finally, Ollie Bassett sealed the victory in the second half as he scored another penalty kick just after the hour mark to make it 3-0 for Ottawa.
So, the legion of travelling Atleti fans returned home to the nation’s capital in very good spirits, having seen their side win and climb to the top of the CPL standings.
