Star defender Amer Didić leaving Pacific FC

Pacific FC announced on Wednesday that centre-back Amer Didić will not be returning for the 2024 Canadian Premier League Season. Didić, a free agent following the 2023 season, joined Pacific prior to the 2022 season appearing in 63 games for the club, scoring six goals and adding two assists.

“Amer was a big part of our backline since joining the club from FC Edmonton,” said Jamar Dixon, Manager of Football & Player Development, Pacific FC. “He found a positive environment in his time with Pacific that allowed him to develop his game and thrive in his role with the team. On behalf of the club, we wish Amer all the best in his future endeavours and thank him for his contributions to Pacific FC.”

The six-foot-three defender joined Pacific FC after spending two seasons with FC Edmonton, a former club within the Canadian Premier League. Didić’s highflying play style captivated fans, out-duelling opponents in the air and in the tackle; frustrating the opposition while dominating games from the back.
