WATCH: ‘I’ll be back’ — York United’s Brian Wright teases return to lineup vs. Cavalry

York United FC striker Brian Wright has been out of the lineup for the past three matches with an ankle injury, putting a brief pause on the incredible season he’s been having. His nine goals and six assists so far puts him second in the Canadian Premier League in both categories, making him a serious candidate for Player of the Year.

However, Wright returned to full training this week, and could be in line for a return against Cavalry FC this Friday night. At last weekend’s Allstate Soccer Show, Kristian Jack caught up with Wright to ask how he’s feeling, as well as get his thoughts on York’s title ambitions and turnaround under coach Benjamín Mora.

York United, currently third in the league and alive in the race for the regular season title, take on the Cavs on Friday, Sept. 20 at York Lions Stadium (8 p.m. ET, on OneSoccer).
