History was made on Saturday in the Canadian Premier League as Shaan Hundal scored the first-ever goal for Vancouver FC.
The goal came just six minutes into the club’s third-ever match, against York United at York Lions Stadium. Hundal picked the pocket of York United midfielder Mo Babouli at the top of the box, before calmly slotting the ball past goalkeeper Niko Gianstsopoulos.
Prior to Saturday, Vancouver FC had lost a pair of 1-0 matches, first to provincial rivals Pacific FC in the league, then to York United in the Canadian Championship.
