Only 50 spots remain for #GotGame Open Trials as Toronto, Winnipeg, Alberta reach full registrations

Only 50 spots remain for the Canadian Premier League’s #GotGame Open Trials in Vancouver Island as the coast-to-coast tryout reached full registration in Toronto, Winnipeg and Alberta this week, with the CPL’s head coaches having already identified a handful of talented players in the first three stops in Halifax, Quebec and Hamilton.

The league’s Open Trials have seen full registrations in Hamilton and Quebec, and the CPL staff now heads to Toronto to observe more than 200 players as they showcase their skills in the hopes of earning a spot in a club’s preseason training camp – and, potentially, a professional contract with a CPL outfit. The coaches, led by former Canada international Alex Bunbury, have walked away from Halifax, Quebec and Hamilton more than impressed with some of the hidden gems in Canada’s eastern provinces, and continue west in the hopes of identifying even more talented players.

Spots are limited to Vancouver Island, though last-minute cancellations could open new registration opportunities in the remaining three markets. You can keep tabs on the #GotGame Open Trials by following the CPL on Twitter (@CPLsoccer) or checking CanPL.ca regularly for any posted news announcements.
