WATCH: Choinière goal guarantees Forge CPL title

A fitting finish for the 2019 Canadian Premier League Champions.

Forge FC’s David Choinière finished a late chance in injury time to seal the first CPL title for his side, away from home at ATCO Field at Spruce Meadows, with a 1-0 win, 2-0 on aggregate.

A two-on-none break between Choinière and Elimane Cisse sunk Cavalry FC’s championship chances as they searched for an equalizing goal in Leg 2.

This final goal was not without controversy, however, as a clattering between Dominick Zator and Dom Samuel that caused the breakaway went uncalled by the officials.
